Cruise 2012

We just got home from an amazingly relaxing cruise vacation with my family. Vacation couldn't have come at a better time for us this year, the house remodel had taken a lot out of us so it was a good way to relax and recharge! We were gone for 5 night with two stops, Progresso and Cozumel. We did beach excursions both stops because there isn't much else you can do with a 2 year old and a 10 month old! Cozumel was my favorite. We got on to a catamaran and went to a private island. The beaches were so beautiful and we had a great time hanging out on the beach! Ella slept through both excursions for the most part. Vacation makes you exhausted! Kade LOVED the beach. I mean he L-O-V-E-D the beach. Bryan and I were taken back by how much he loved it. He built sand castles, collected seashells, kayaked with Bryan, and swam in the water the entire time we were there. No complaining, no whining, just pure excitement about being at the beach! My favorite part was in Cozumel, Kade was on my back and we were dodging and jumping waves for about 45 minutes. Both of us laughing SO hard. It was such a sweet time with my boy! Our days at sea were filled with swimming in the pools, naps, and eating! It was perfect. 3 of the night after dinner, Bryan and I did the unthinkable and actually sent the kids to camp Carnival's babysitting service so we could have some adult time! I haven't ever hired a babysitter before but after touring the facilities I thought it was very safe. They loved going! Well Kade did, Ella probably didn't know what was going on. It was nice though to have a little break while on vacation!

We had such a wonderful week!!!

Ella Claire- 10 monthd old

Several weeks ago, Ella turned 10 month old! What?! How is it possible that in less than two month my sweet baby will be ONE! This year has been the fastest year yet. At 10 months old Ella is EVERYWHERE and into EVERYTHING! She has an attitude one minute and wants to snuggle with you the next. She is talking more and more. She says mama, uh oh, dada, ella, and I think she is also saying Kade. It doesn't sound totally like Kade but sort of similar and she says it everytime she sees him. She also just started shaking her head back and forth and saying "nahh nahh" which I assume she is meaning no because she does it anytime I do something she doesn't particularly love. :) She is still sleeping like a dream, and eating everything under the sun (including anything she find on the floor!) I have a feeling that very soon we will be baby proofing the entire house because she gets into everything!

Ella Claire, you are bring us so much JOY! I can't imagine life without you sweet girl!

Oh Ella...

I find myself saying this a lot. Ella keeps us on our toes. And makes me laugh so hard. I guarantee she will be the boss of our family. She is a diva, sassy, and everything in between. When she isn't happy she makes sure NO ONE is happy :)

She recently started saying a few words. The only consistent ones (and ones used in appropriate times) are mama and uh oh! Mama is my favorite (obviously!) but when she drops something and says "uh oh" it makes us all laugh!

And of course, some of my favorite pictures I took this week of Ella.

4th of July

We had a great time this year celebrating the 4th. It was a little hectic. Bryan was painted the last room that needs to be painted so he missed out on some of the festivities. But we decided since he was off work that day, it would be best to go ahead and finish. On the third we went to my parents to swim and have dinner with the girls. Bryan came home from work with some sparklers and a few other things. Hailey, Ashlyn, and Kade had a blast doing the sparklers. Bryan lit this cone firework in my parents backyard that ended up being huge and loud! It was crazy! It kept going and getting taller and taller! Nanny was having a heartattack! So we decided to load up and take the kids to get some more fireworks and go where we could shoot them off! It was great!
On the 4th, I took the kids to the neighborhood parade in the morning. Then kade and I went with my mom and the girls to see Madagascar, and finally we finished up the night on the lawn of the country club watching the fireworks! It was a great day!

This was the best I could get of both of them..
Here are the outtakes:
