First Day/Week of Kindergarten!

We wrapped up Kade's first week of school and it went way better than I expected! Kade is my homebody so I thought he would for sure have a rough time going to school every single day but that wasn't the case at all. He was up and ready to go every morning and when I picked him up in the afternoon he could barely get in the car before he started telling me all about his day and the friends he is making. It is so fun to hear all this from him because normally I can't get anything out of him.

His first day went great. We woke up and had a big breakfast before heading to school. Once we got there he lead us to his class and we said our goodbyes. He was ready and excited and Bryan and I were the emotional ones! I was able to hold it all together until the girls and I got home. It was SO quiet without our little buddy around and it was weird not knowing what he was doing all day. Anytime I thought about what he was doing I just cried. I left a big piece of my heart at the school and I wasn't expecting to feel heartbroken over this big change but I was. I spent the first  two days of wanting to turn back the clock and redo the last six years with him at home. After seeing how much he was loving going to school everyday I snapped out of it really fast. What a fun and exciting time for him and there isn't anything to be sad about! He is so excited about this year!!

His first weekend is a three day weekend and he was ready for that but by today he says he is ready to get back to school!

I know I am biased but he is so darn cute. I could kiss that face raw. :)

All smiles at pick up!!!

Two thumbs up for kindergarten!

Ready to go on day 2!

TGIF! He quickly learned the excitement of a Friday and the weekend. :)

The night before kindergarten..

Tomorrow is the big day! Kade starts Kindergarten and we are ready. Well Kade is ready, I am a little emotional about it. Even though we will miss him so much, I am so excited for him because he is going to love school. His bags are packed and the clothes are laid out. He was absolutely giddy when we out him to bed and that made me so happy. We read two books about going to school and opened the poem his teacher gave him to read. He is so ready and we can't wait to start this new adventure!

The poem came with confetti and he was suppose to spread it under his pillow to calm any nerves. He said he might put some in his pocket tomorrow just in case. :)

Ella's first soccer practice

Ella is playing soccer this fall and she had her first practice on Saturday. We learned that each time we meet it will be more like practice each time with about 20 minutes of a game/playing each time. I think this is the perfect intro to team sports, especially for Ella. We were so proud watching her! She was listening to the coaches and doing all the drills they asked. She said she loved soccer!

Meet the teacher

We met Kade's teacher last week and he is officially ready to start school tomorrow. It is so bittersweet but I loved watching him around his classmates. He wasted no time and has already made friends and says he can't wait for school to start so he can see them again. I think his teacher is excellent and I was really happy with the class he ended up in. I know he is going to have an amazing Kindergarten year!!

Ella is FOUR!!!

Ella turned 4 on Thursday. She woke up SO excited and was certain she grew overnight. She really wants to be a 5 year old so she is really excited to be one year closer to that. :) Ella is at the best she ever right now. She is my little buddy and loves to do everything with me. I love that! She lives in a world of make believe and is very girly. She keeps us on our toes and is without a doubt the most hilarious kid I've ever been around. I love watching her grow up!

Last picture as a 3 year old!

And I have to add this one because this is the first look I got.

She is so excited to be a 4 year old!

We had Kade's meet the teacher this day so we got dressed and went up to the school. Afterwards I asked what she wanted to do and she said she wanted to play at chic fil a so that is just what we did!

She didn't eat her lunch but really wanted ice cream. I decided on your 4th birthday if you want ice cream for lunch then you can have ice cream for lunch! She was thrilled!

Skipping nap/quiet time an watching a movie!

Present time!

This picture sums up our Ella Claire. So full of life and personality!

Happy Birthday Ella Claire!!!!!
