Father's Day

We had a great laid back Father's Day this year. On Sunday, we went up to my parents and cooked out and enjoyed hanging out. I am so thankful for my dad and all that he has done for me. I am so proud to call him my dad. I am also married to a wonderful man who is an absolute amazing father. I love watching Bryan and Kade interact. When I was pregnant with Kade, I tried to imagine what kind of parents we would be, and I couldn't even dream big enough when it came to what kind of Dad Bryan is. He loves being Kade's dad so much and it shows with all that he does for us! I love that he is wrestles with Kade, calls him The Dude, reads his bedtime stories, teaches Kade how to do things like catch a ball, plays the piano with him, and lets Kade "play" his guitar with him, and so much more. (I walked in the other day and he was trying to teach Kade to jump with both feet off the ground, things like this just make me smile :) Kade looks up to his daddy so much and EVERYDAY when Bryan gets home home from work we have a little mini party. Kade shouts "Daddy's home, Daddy's home!" There is jumping and dancing involved. He gets quite the reception, and I get a little jealous! We are so thankful for Bryan, and I thank God everyday that he gets to be the father of my children!

This year, I took Kade to Home Depot's kid workshop and he (I) built Bryan a toolbox! It is a TEENY TINY toolbox that won't hold any tools, but it was the thought that counted :) Bryan took it to work to proudly display on his desk!

Cousins

Lori. Garrett, and Eli stayed with us a few night ago because they were heading to the Bahamas. We haven't seen them since Christmas, so we were excited that they were staying. Kade and Eli are both getting to the age where they can start playing together! We had fun watching them play and interact with each other. We tried to get a picture of the two of them but it wasn't happening so we got a few of them playing and staring outside, wishing we would take them out to play!

The Graduate!

Today, Kade graduated at the little gym! Their semester is over and he will be moving from the birds class to the beasts class! It is a big deal, so of course we made Daddy come! We signed up for the summer session and it will probably be our last. It makes me sad to think about it because it has been so much fun taking Kade for the past year and a half. But since Ella will be born in September and Kade will be starting Mother's Day Out in the fall, I know our days are numbered! My boy is getting so big and I have loved watching him learn at the Little Gym. Today he showed Daddy that he could swing on the bars, do a front roll with help, almost jump with both feet on the ground, swing on the rings, and walk on the beam all by himself!

Kade's class normally has 8 or 9 kids in it, but only 3 showed up today.
Congrats little Graduates :)

Waterpark Pictures

Bryan was off last Friday so we headed up to the waterpark for some fun! I finally brought my real camera so I took of ton of pictures of Kade! He has so much fun!!

The night after Kade went down this yellow slide by himself we were talking about it at dinner. I asked Kade if he remembered going down the yellow slide by himself, he smiled really big and said, "wellow slide, BIIIIIIIG slide!"  Little cutie!

This orange slide is so funny, Kade goes SO SLOW. I mean he gets stuck several times going down and he has to scoot to even move, but the entire time he is yelling "WEEEEEEEEE!"

Pregnancy Update

As of this Thursday I am 28 weeks pregnant. HOLY COW! It is flying by!! I had my 28 week appointment on Monday and all is well and Ella is growing right on track. I am officially in the miserable stage of pregnancy, Dr. Robbins told me it would happen faster this time around, but I thought it would be a few more weeks. This pregnancy overall has been a lot harder than my pregnancy with Kade. I am just trying to stay cool, which is impossible when the temperature is 100 degree, and rest as much as possible, which is also impossible with the wild toddler I spend my days with! But I am just hoping that I can make it through this last trimester with no issues and enjoy these last few months with my sweet boy before our lives are turned upside down!

On a side note, we are actually almost finished with the nursery! It happened faster than I had planned in my head, but once we moved Kade to his big boy bed we just had furniture stacked in our guest room. It was completely stressing me out so we hit it hard one weekend and almost finished, minus a few little details. I am LOVING the way it is turning out. It is PINK, girly, dainty, airy, chic, fresh, and oh so cute! It looks like a little ballerina should be living in there! I can't wait to take pictures when it is all finished! I also made Ella her first bow the other night. It is far from perfect, but it actually came out looking like a bow! I was surprised!

I can't wait to make her some more, just hopefully the next ones won't be lopsided!

Flexing his muscles

We LOVE to make Kade flex his muscles because it is the cutest thing we have ever seen! He holds his arms out really straight, puts his wrists together, squeezes really tight, and grunts! It is is cute! I grabbed a few pictures of him today before we ran errands, and I got him flexin' on camera!
