Randoms!

We have been having a lot of fun lately. Nothing too exciting but just our day to day fun!

Last week it sorta kinda felt like winter was over....minus all the snow on the ground. We got to play outside for several days!! Unfortunately winter in back with a bang and it currently feels like ONE degree outside. Tomorrow is March 1 for crying out loud, it shouldn't be this cold anymore!!

I told the kids to he careful bc there were puddles of melted snow everywhere at the park... One of the first things he did was fall off the tire swing right in to a huge puddle. Haha!

On Saturday night we had our first date night in over 6 months! We finally found a babysitter and she is amazing! We went out to dinner in DC with new friends from our church. We had such a great time and can't wait to do it again!

In their Sunday best!

Static hair!

Kade has been loving his stomp rocket he got for Christmas!

After a weekend of some seriously beautiful weather we had snow two days in a row. I am just so happy to hear that this winter has been one of the worst here. We have seriously been averaging snow once or twice a week since January. And I do love snow but I am so tired of being cold!!

I decided that I could no longer "not drive in the snow". We broke out of the house and went shopping at Costco.

Valentines Party and Chapel

Last week the kids preschool lead chapel for the entire school! They sang a few songs, talked with the principal, and helped out with offering. Kade did awesome! Ella on the other hand had a rough day. She cried (for no reason) for about 2.5 hours. She didn't want to sit with the kids at chapel but when she was with me she didn't want to sit with me. It was exhausting to say the least :)

After chapel each of their classes had a Valentines party. Ella cried through hers, except for a few minutes when she was excited to eat a donut, haha! We went down to Kade's and we left pretty soon after they exchanged their little valentines with each other. Ella was beyond all control at that point!

Frosty was still standing!

Party for a Princess

The kids school held a Princess Party as a fundraiser so I had to take my little princess. Let's just say that she was in her element. They got their makeup done, nails done, made tiaras, had their face painted, made musical instruments, and had a dance and fashion show. It was so much fun!

EC picked every single accessory, HAHA!

Valentine's Day

Our valentine's day was low key this year. We were still cooped up from the big snow storm, and I told Bryan not to do anything special. Instead we decided to go out and have a family "date" for dinner. We went and had sushi as a local restaurant. While we were there, Kade got a blank look on his face and said he didn't feel very good. Ella had just gotten over round 2 of the stomach bug so I ran out with him and Bryan got our dinner to go. He never got sick but I was not about to chance him throwing up in the restaurant and ruining everyone's dinner around us. :)

In the end, it all worked out. We came home, put the kids down and Bryan and I were able to enjoy our sushi and have adult conversation without kids interrupting or drinks being spilled. Woohoo!

Bryan brought home some chocolates for Kade and I, and this stuffed tiger for his little lady :)

Sitting in the minivan, holding a bag to possibly catch throw up. Isn't that what everyone wants on Valentine's Day?? :)

Experiencing our first "Nor'easter"..

We just had biggest snowstorm to hit DC/VA/MD in 4 years! At one point the snow was pouring down so fast, Bryan and I were in shock! We hadn't ever seen snow fall like that before. It was insane, one local meteorologist said it was falling as fast as 3in per hour!  Our area wasn't hit as bad as others, we had probably around a foot of snow once it was over. But areas in central and northern MD had around 2 ft! That is crazy for a 24 hour period! This time the temperatures weren't as cold so we could actually go out and play without freezing. And we finally had good snow to build a snowman!

This was after round 1, we had about 4 more inches later in the day.

Poor Frosty got hit with round 2!

Kade L-O-V-E-S the snow!!!

Ella Claire hates the snow!

Kade and I went for a walk through the neighborhood and we stopped to watch a snowplow clear a driveway.

He feels right at home!
