Under contract

Four days after we put the house on the market we were in agreement with a buyer! Well, if only it were that easy.. Yes we were in agreement but not under contract because everything has to go through the relocation company and they are sooooo slow. So at some point this week it will still be official. It has taken a lot of patience on my end. I just want things official! Bryan and I fly to DC this coming up Friday to find us a new house! I know it will be a hectic 5 days but I am really looking forward to a little get away with my hubby :) In the meantime I still have to show my house until we are out of the option period. And I am OVER IT. It is too hot to go play in the culdisac so we typically all end up in the car. So you know, fun times by all....or maybe just the kids.

Big boy bike

For Kade's birthday this year we were going to get him a big boy bike. He had outgrown his strider. His birthday falls on Bryan's start date in Maryland and we will be living in a hotel, and the movers are scheduled to come August 12. So with all that said, I needed to figure out a way to get him a bike, make it a big deal, but to also be on the moving van in two weeks. We decided to surprise Kade after dinner on Friday night by taking him to Toys R Us and letting him pick out whatever bike he wanted. He thought it was the coolest thing ever! He was just sooooo excited. He tested every.single.bike that was his size and ended up with a red hot wheels bike that has a handle bar that will rev up and sound like an engine. My car loving boy was in heaven!

We left the store and the magical moment spiraled out of control. We took the training wheels off and he was scared to death. Screaming, crying, and all sorts of carrying on. He actually would do really well with them off but was too scared to give it a shot and begged for his old bike back. So we put the training wheels back on and he was still scared. And still cried. And carried on so much that we put it away and gave him a bath and he went straight to bed. It was not good. I didn't have any patience and let Bryan know immediately that the leaning to ride a bike thing would be his. :)

In Kade's defense he has done a lot better since that night, very little crying, and he isn't asking for his old bike back :)

And then it went downhill...

Everyday Happenings

Even though so much is going on right now related to the move, that doesn't mean I haven't been taking pictures and enjoying our summer days!

I worked VBS for two days last week! I had to back out of my duties once it was official we were moving. Too much to do, so little time!

Sister totally felt like part of the gang at vbs!

A weekend of showings meant a lot of time in the car!

Best friends!

Just a typical afternoon!

Sister got a backpack and she is proud!

Sign, sealed, delivered.

Well, it's official. At the end of August we will be packing up and moving to Maryland. It's scary, exciting, and stressful all balled into one. I am working hard at getting the house ready to put on the market and hopefully that will happen by this weekend.

We will be living about 20-30 miles outside the center of DC so we are really excited about that. In the next few weeks Bryan and I will take a house hunting trip and try to find us a new home. We are going to miss our family and friends like crazy but we are excited for this opportunity!

Tricycles, camp, and slurpees...

This is going to be such a random post!

Kade went to "mini-motor speedway camp" the other day. He was in heaven!! It's in the same building as swim lessons and every time we walk by he begs to go in! He had so much fun!

One of Ella's birthday presents from us was going to be a tricycle. I had my eye on a certain one and yesterday I found a STEAL! I couldn't pass it up, it's red and not pink like I wanted but like a said, a steal! We have let her ride it some. I figured she doesn't know about birthdays yet and I always feel bad when we are outside and she just has to watch Kade on his bike. Now she can join in!

I'm on the hunt for some girly colored tassels!

And finally, we had to participate in free slurpee day at 7-11!!

Perfect Saturday

This past weekend was pretty busy for us. Bryan was off for four days but we had plans or something to do everyday except Saturday. We all slept in, had a lazy morning then decided to go see Despicable Me 2! It was such a cute kid movie! After the movie we shopped and walked around the town center, then stopped for a late lunch! It wasn't anything spectacular but it was so perfect for our Saturday!

Ella had to carry a bag (purse).

July 4th fun!

We had a great time celebrating on the 4th this year! We started out the day at out town's parade. Then spent the rest of the day swimming, eating, and watching fireworks with my family!
