Christmas Program

I look forward to the Christmas program all year long. There is nothing sweeter to me than a bunch of preschoolers singing Christmas carols. This year was extra sweet because BOTH of my babies were in it!! I never knew the amount of pride and excitement I would experience watching my own child perform but multiply that times 2 and my excitement was busting through the roof! We were SO proud watching our babies up there. It is so fun!! I was a little worried because it was at 1:30 on a school day for Ella. Most days that I pick Ella up after school she can barely function she is so tired. But she was awesome! And loved being center of attention! Kade was awesome as well. The girl in front of him stood up and he stayed sitting down so we could only see part of him for about half the performance. But he sang the entire time! So proud of these guys!

Ella is bottom center sitting by her teacher and Kade is top left!

Kade is hard to spot because he was in the mix! He is right in the center here!

Miss priss was easy to spot because she was front and center!

Kade is towards the top left.

Sweet Ms Weimert. She has been such a wonderful teacher, she tells me every day how much she loves Kade. I couldn't ask for anything more!

Bryan was making fun of Kade's pants being pulled up high, I didn't think they looked that bad. But looking back at this picture maybe he was right, hahaha!

Snow day!

We had our first snow day yesterday! The snow was hyped up to be bad but in the end our temperatures never got below freezing so it stuck to the ground a little but most was melting away as it fell. Either way, schools were canceled and for nearly three hours the biggest most beautiful flakes fell! The kids and I stayed in our jammies all day and hung out by the fire, colored, made gingerbread houses, listened to Christmas carols, and napped! We also had to go out a have a snow ball fight and play a little! What a fun day!

The day before ice froze to the trees and it looked so Wintery!

Same leg warmers three years later!

I loved watching Kade do his gingerbread house this year! He was methodical and everything had to be in a pattern! Ella on the other hand ate most of her candy so her little house ended up pretty bare. :)

Picture update

I don't have many but I wanted to update all my pictures before our fun weekend starts!!

I love my view from my new kitchen, and I love spending lunch with these two everyday!

He said "look Mom, I built the monument!"

Before school today.

Kade has two actual chores. One is making his bed every morning. That one causes quite a bit of complaining, but he always does it. The other is bringing the trash cans back up on trash days. He LOVES this job. And I'm glad bc I don't want to do it! Ha!

First French braids!!! Eek! I can't handle the cuteness!

The Elf returns

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving week with my mom being here. I have so much to write about but I am skipping ahead a little since those will probably take me a while!

Tonight our Elf on the Shelf returned! I will admit, I have a love/hate with the Elf. I think the idea of him is sooo cute, however trying to remember to move him daily does me in. And then I see on Facebook and Pinterest all these ideas for making the Elf be "mischievous" every night and I completely shut down. I think last year he moved twice. And he did decorate the breakfast area one night. But that is it.

This year, since Kade understands a lot more I am going to try my hardest to get more "into" the Elf thing and at least move him every night and maybe, MAYBE he can get into some trouble. But I will not put the pressure on us to go all out for a silly little Elf. Our Elf likes to arrive in the evening and ring the doorbell for the kids to answer. He was sitting on top of his book with two goodie bags for the kids! The kids went NUTS when the answered the door. Kade shouted "I can't believe Santa got this for me for Christmas!" HAHA! We came in, looked in the goodie bags (nothing special just some matching jams, popcorn, and candy) then Bryan read them the book. Afterwards, Kade decided to name him Clyde! The kids showered, put on their new jams, we popped popcorn and watched the Elf on the Shelf movie.

Bryan and I have loved this Christmas season more than any other. Watching them together and seeing the magic through their eyes is truly one of the greatest things ever. They are just precious beyond belief and we are soaking up every last minute of the magic.

Hey Clyde!

Kade just COULD NOT BELIEVE that SANTA sent him pajamas that said "Santa's Little Helper." He just could not believe that!

Can I please keep them this little forever?

Life lately..

I am sooooooo far behind! We have had the best November!

Baking with my girl!

It's hard to be a 2 year old some days.

First show and tell! He decided to being Blue and his jet. Last minute he left Blue in his backpack because he thought his friends would think the jet was "cooler." My heart broke a little, don't grow up sweet boy!!

By Thursday, he just can't hang.

Every time I see this I die laughing. I was inside making the kids lunch and Kade ran in and was telling me I HAD to get outside NOW to see what Ella had done. He said he got up to do something and she jumped in the gator and ran it into a tree. And the best part is she fled the scene! I saw her across the yard peeking around from the garage! I could.not.stop.laughing. And it is a story that the more I think about it the more I laugh. It is so typical of both of their behaviors.

This is a terrible picture but they were my first dinner guests in my new kitchen!
