More randomness

Watching it snow!

Bryan hooked up the outdoor movie stuff in the garage. They thought that was so much fun!

Being able to go to the park in January is pretty much the best!

Kade got a bunch of army men for Christmas. Every morning he sets up a battle for him and Bryan to have after work. It is as adorable as sounds. :)

Ella asked me to take a picture of her "balentime's dress". :)

Early morning snuggles

Frozen cereal? Her day was made!

We have a reader!

About a week ago, Kade read an entire book all by himself!!! What a huge milestone!!!! He has been sounding words out for a while now but he never could figure out what word he was saying. It just wasn't clicking, I knew that it would come in time and we would just encourage him to keep trying and about a week ago it just clicked! It was so awesome watching him figure out the words as he was reading. It took two nights, and a lot of patience on Bryan and I's end but it was so worth it. At one point Bryan was ready to throw in the towel and save the rest for another night but Kade just didn't want to give up so I took over. And the moment he realized he finished the entire book it was priceless. He was beaming with pride!

This has really created so much confidence in him and I find him picking up his other learn to read books and reading those. It is amazing the change in one week. He is recognizing words left and right as he reads and we are just loving watching as he learns! Reading opens up a whole new world and we couldn't be more proud of our little guy!!

His first book, "Dancing Dino's Go to School"

This and that

January is such a blah month for me. Cold, dark, no holidays, just kinda blah. We are back in the swing of things around here and I'm still playing catch up!

They love their bounce house! And so do I! I love that I can turn the heat on in the garage and send them out to burn some energy.

Oh ya know, just laying on top of me. They are never too far from me, haha!

Kade worked so hard on his police station Lego set. It was his first set to finish all by himself from start to finish!

Christmas Day!

Christmas day came and went in a flash. We woke up early and Santa came and all the kids were so happy and excited. We ate breakfast, opened gifts, and played and napped all day long. It was the best of the best!

Really out of order but he loved his roller blades!

Bless this girl's heart, she has been wanting this mermaid tail for YEARS!

He got his globe!!

Running in to see what Santa brought!

Cooking everyone breakfast!

She got her Frozen castle from Uncle Kyle. She was screaming "This is what I wanted!!!"

Obviously she was excited :)

And she also got Caroline from Nanny!

Once again, she was very excited! Haha!

His big gift from Nanny and Pappy and he was soooooo excited! Look at the at face, haha!

More phone pics...

It was mid afternoon and I walked thorough the room and saw this.. Everyone napping and stuff everywhere. The sign of a great Christmas!

Cotton candy for all :)
