Soccer camp

The only camp we had planned for the summer was soccer camp. I wanted the kids to try out something new and to be active so soccer was the perfect choice. Kade had to miss two days because he was sick but was able to finish out the week and did a great job! Both kids had one day each where it was rough and struggled with their attitudes among other issues. Overall we were really proud of both of them. They had a blast and both want to play soccer now.

Salon

I took Ella in for a trim and sister was in her element. She is so girly and I love it so much. :)

North Carolina Road Trip- Biltmore

This is the one thing that I was most looking forward to. It been on my must see list for a while so I was so excited! The estate was amazing and so over the top and I am so happy that we made the trip to see it. We weren't allowed to take pictures inside but it was incredible. I kept telling Bryan that I wouldn't have even been able to come up with different uses for all the rooms if I tried!

They were tired of all the pictures. LOL!

This is way out of order but Ella didn't last long once we got in the car.

This was our last trip as a family of 4. In the past four years the four of us have been on more adventures than I can even count. I was thinking about how on this trip we didn't need a stroller, the diaper bag is long gone, there were no naps to work around or snacks to pack. Life with these two right now is just so easy, it is easy to get up and go and that has been so fun. We are about to dive head first back into all things baby but we couldn't be more excited. We are all so ready to love on a squishy newborn again. I am excited to have the perspective that things do get easier and have the first hand experience that babies grow into toddlers, then into preschoolers, and on to big kids in the blink of an eye. I can't wait to soak up every last newborn snuggle and this time around I will happily pack a diaper bag full of stuff that baby needs because I know we will turn around and this baby will be running around with the big kids.

North Carolina Road Trip: Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway

After touring the colleges we loaded up and headed towards to mountains! We stayed in Asheville and absolutely loved every single thing about it. We ate dinner that night at a local brewery and then walked about the surrounding area. There were musicians every where, the weather was amazing and the entire vibe of the city was just right up our alley! It was just a great night!

The next morning we were up early again and headed out on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were going to drive the part from Asheville to Cherokee. The views were UNBELIEVABLE! It was the most gorgeous drive aside from one small part where there was bad fog and rain. I kept wanting to pull over to take pictures and by the end Kade was even making fun of me.

North Carolina Road Trip- College Tour

We talked about a long weekend roadtrip to North Carolina for a while but after our Texas trip I was really worn out and I didn't think I had it in me. After a couple of weeks rest I felt better and we decided reall ylast minute to just go for it during the long 4th of July weekend! We left Thursday night after Bryan got off work and we really didn't even have a plan. Bryan wanted to see Duke and UNC so we decided to head that direction first and just made hotel reservations as we went. It was so fun to just be heading out with zero plans, that the total opposite of how we normally travel!

Friday morning we were up bright and early to tour both Campus's. We both loved Duke! I decided that one of our kids should go to college there (granted they get scholarships, haha!)

We went to see the basketball court/stadium and this man, who was an alumni saw us looking around and gave us a little private tour. He showed us the court, the hall of fame area, and the museum. He was so nice!
