San Antonio

The night before we had to be in Boerne for Lauren and Clay's wedding the 4 of us headed to San Antonio to  stay the night. We had so much fun! We walked by the Alamo, along the Riverwalk, ate a yummy dinner, and relaxed! Bryan and I didn't get much sleep that night because we were all in one room and Kade was sharing the bed with us, but we had a good quality family time!

has to be the cutest thing on the face of the planet! Kade was the ring bear in Lauren (Lala) and Clay's wedding this past weekend and not only was he cute he did his job perfectly! I am going to make an entire different post about the wedding because it was so much fun and I need more time to sit down and write about it, but I HAD to put this picture up. We were trying his tux on at home and oh my goodness he is tooooooo CUTE!

Dear Ella

You are such a sweet girl. You are without a doubt the easiest baby on the planet. You love just to watch everything that is going on. You LOVE to be held and I love that too. We laugh because sometimes you just want us to sit and hold you all day, and as much as I would love that it just isn't a possibility. If you are in one of these moods, whenever we go to lay you down on your play mat you give us the most adorably pathetic fake cry ever. And the best part is that you do it BEFORE your back even hits the ground. It makes us laugh every time.

You smile ALL THE TIME. I seriously mean all the time. A girl who works in the kids club at the gym told me she can't get over how much you smile. Like I told you before, you are the easiest, happiest baby on the planet. You also "talk" all the time. You started this much earlier than I ever remember your big brother doing it. Your daddy says it it because you are a girl and it is just a sign of things to come :) I can't wait for you to talk all the time. I hope you tell me all your little secrets the same way I told my mom all of mine. The late nights I spent with my mom sitting on my bed talking are such great memories and I can't wait to do that with you.


Ella Claire, you are just a joy. I hope you continue your low maintenance ways because it makes a really really happy mommy and daddy  :) I love you sweet girl.

Random

Time for a random post about my kids :)

Kade is full of all sorts of funny expressions and sayings these days. Last night at dinner he looked at me and asked, "Can we go get on the big airplane and go back to Paris?" I know he probably doesn't even know what Paris is or remember the fact that he has been there, but we were talking about it the other day and told him about flying there on an airplane. No worries Kade I am on board to go back to Paris, now we just have to get Daddy on board too :)

The other day he was playing in his room and he started shouting for me to get in there and see his Sandcastle he built. When I walked in I saw this and "he said look how pretty my sandcastle is!" I love his little (BIG!) imagination.

Halloween

We had so much fun this year on Halloween! Kade was REALLY into it this year. He woke up Halloween morning and stated that today was Hallowen and he was ready to go trick or treat with "Haybell and Ashie." What a cutie patootie! He woke to a little Halloween suprise that we told him the Great Pumpkin left. ( We love Charlie Brown around here.) He thought it was so "cool", his word not mine :) We ate cinnamon rolls with orange icing for breakfast and then played the day away. That evening we went to Brad and Kristen's to go trick or treat with the girls and everyone was all dressed up! Kade had the trick or treating thing down after the first house and in fact if they didn't hand him the candy quick enough he just reached in the bowl and grabbed for himself. :) It was such a fun night! When we got in the car to go home Kade told us, "I'm REALLY tired!" Trick or treating wore him out!

I bought these super cute baskets for the kids, but forgot Kade's at home when we went Trick or Treating!

Cutest pirate ever! When asked what pirates say, he responded "ARRRGGGGG!" in the best pirate voice ever! I even heard him in his room this morning playing with his cars talking in his pirate voice. 

 

Our neighborhood is quite the event on Halloween. IT IS RIDICULOUS! I love where we live every other day of the year, but on Halloween I want to run and hide. Kids come from ALL around to trick or treat. When we pulled onto our street Kade said, "THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE EVERYWHERE!" Well said, Kade, well said.
