Holy Moly Cow!

Just a quick post about an expression that Kade says all the time that cracks us up! He has started combining "holy moly" and "holy cow" and just says "Holy Moly Cow!"

I was talking to him the other day about who knows what and he responded with " WHOAAA! Holy Moly Cow!" I was rolling I was laughing so hard!

And just an unrelated picture. We are losing our minds around here with the weather...today it is suppose to be 105. BLAH! Kade is so bored being in the house all day and the other day he was walking around balancing Blue on his head while he tried to drink his water. Poor guy, we are ready for cooler weather so we can get outside!!!

10 days!

10 FREAKING DAYS LEFT UNTIL WE MEET OUT BABY GIRL! And that is 10 days max, she can come earlier if she pleases! I can't believe it. We changed the day of my induction to August 31st for several reasons and I am not complaining one single bit! That is one day less than I thought I had! This weekend we pulled all the old baby stuff out of the attic and got everything organized. Kade thought it was so much fun and has been playing with all the new "toys" ever since. I am constantly finding him laying on the play-mat that has all the toys dangling, and he sits in the bumbo anytime we watches one of "Kade's shows." I am curious how he will react when he has to share with Ella!

I have been having a lot of contractions, but nothing that has been regular or anything to get excited about yet. It is a complete new experience for me because I did not feel one single contraction with Kade until I was hooked up to the pitocin! I have good days and bad days, and I am just thankful that everyone is patient with me because my hormones are out of control!!!! But 10 days...10 DAYS! I can handle that! I am sooooo ready though!!!

I need some more ketchup.

Saturday night we were sitting at the dinner table and Kade said his first full sentence. He has been communicating in "sentences" for a while now, but it is generally in very broken English. He can get the point across and we know what he needs and is talking about, but this particular night he said an entire sentence. It took Bryan and I by surprise because we weren't expecting it at all. While we were eating he was looking at his plate, and scarfing down his pork chops (my boy LOVES meat!) when he just busted out with, "I need some more ketchup." Nothing to exciting or thrilling about that sentence, but it was like a real little person saying it. A little person who has been talking forever. The first thing that caught me off guard was that he referred to himself as "I," he ALWAYS calls him self Kade. Everything is "Kade wants snack," or something  similar. I guess I would have expected him to say something along the lines of "More ketchup Kade's plate, mama?" Which I would have totally understood, but it is much more caveman like talk than "I need some more ketchup." When did my baby turn into a kid who is making full sentences?!?! Also to add, he told my mom, "I want some milk, Nanny." Who knew making a complete sentence would turn me into a sap?!

Ella's BFF

On Friday morning August 8th, Ella's little BFF was born! My sweet niece, Addison Lorraine, was welcomed into the world weighing 8lbs 2oz! I can't believe she is already here! I feel like it was just yesterday that Kristen and I were sitting in my Mimi's living room spilling the beans to each other that we were both pregnant, only to find out that we were due just 3 weeks apart! Then in March we both found out we were having girls!! I am so excited for Ella and Addison to grow up together. I know that they will be so close and have such a special bond! Addison is just PERFECT and so beautiful! Kade and I were there bright and early so we could see everyone before the c-section. Hailey and Ashlyn were SO EXCITED waiting on their baby sister to be born! I saw her at the hospital and then again a week later to take some newborn pictures, and she is just the cutest little thing!!!!!

Circus

Earlier this month we took Kade to the circus for the first time. It was a lot of fun, but maybe a little long for a 2 year old! Certain acts Kade was completely bored and other ones he couldn't stop saying "Ohhhh WOW!" His favorite? The motorcycles! He is all boy and LOVES motorcycles, cars, trucks, and pretty much anything else with wheels. He is actually still talking about the motorcycles at the circus. Yesterday, he asked about the motorcycles in the big ball (they had 7 driving in a circle inside this big ball) and I was shocked that he remembered. I told him that there was no chance whatsoever that he would ever, EVER own a motorcycle :)

September 1st

Today I had a really great dr appt and everything is looking great! We set a date for me to be induced and it looks like we will meet our sweet Ella on September 1st if not sooner!!! I am so excited!!! I can FINALLY see the light at the end of the tunnel!

22 days and counting!!

Living the life

Kade is so much fun right now. I really, really, really love this age. He was a tough newborn, but has turned into a really easy toddler. I love that he is talking so much and has so much to say. I figured it was time for a random post about what all he is doing and funny things he has said!

He has recently taken up singing and right before he falls asleep every night he goes through all the songs he knows, sings and claps for himself. Needless to say, Bryan and I's favorite past time is watching the video monitor at night and seeing his little performance. He can currently sings his ABC's, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Row Row Row your Boat, Happy Birthday, and we are working on Jesus loves me :) Our favorite thing he does is right before he starts Twinkle Twinkle Little Star he says, "Get your twinkles out!" and then raises his little hands and starts "twinkling" his fingers. It is so precious!

I guess I call Kade baby a lot, as in "Hi Baby!" or "Night Night baby!" and Kade has recently started calling me baby back. It is absolutely hilarious. He will say things like "let's go baby" and it cracks me up every time.  The other night the three of us were sitting down the street in the car because we had someone looking at our house (which is not for sale and probably needs a whole other post!) We had been sitting there for a while and Kade started saying, "Get out baby!" It made us laugh so hard because of the tone which he says it. He sounds like he is smooth talking all the ladies :)

I am avoiding potty training. I don't want to do it, I don't care if Kade shows signs that he is ready. I just wish I could hire someone to do it for me. He was taking care of business the other day and I knew that he was. After he was finished I asked him if he went poo-poo. He replied with "NOOOO!" I said "Kade, are you lying?" He let out a huge sigh and started shaking his head and said "yeah..." Totally caught me off guard and made me laugh, how does he know what lying is?!

I love this age and I want him to stay this way forever!!!!!

And because no post is good without a picture, enjoy this one! In this particular picture Kade had slept in until 9am and when he woke up he asked if he could drink milk and watch cartoons in mama's bed. Talk about living the life! Oh to be a kid again, life is so simple :)

Indian

Nanny and Pappy celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on August 1st! My parents have set such a wonderful example for Bryan and I to follow in our marriage. I love them so much and I am so proud and happy for them! They spent a long weekend in North Carolina celebrating. They brought back all the grandkids some souvenirs and Mom and I had fun dressing Kade up in his :)  Enjoy :)

Kade and I picked them up from the airport when they got back and went to hang out for a bit at their house. Pappy was outside watering their plants and the little man had to help. Good thing Pappy is patient!!

Kade's 2nd Birthday Party!

This past weekend we had Kade's 2nd Birthday party! His actual birthday isn't for two more weeks, but I will be 38 weeks pregnant then so we decided to do it a little early. It was at the Little Gym, and it was SO MUCH FUN! Kade had a blast and pretty much ran the entire time we were there! I think he was so excited that everyone he knew was all in the same place :) I can't believe that we are already celebrating his 2nd birthday, I wonder if I will be emotional every year that he celebrates?? Last year was worse, I was a mess on his actual birthday. I am curious how I will be on his actual birthday this year. But for the next two weeks I am just enjoying spending time with my ONE year old. After his party at the gym we came back to the house, invited our families over and opened presents and celebrated a little more with everyone here. It was such a special day and we are so thankful for such wonderful families and friends!

After our Little Gym class on Monday, we got in the car and Kade told me, "Goin' Kade's house, OPEN PRESESNTS!!" He totally got the present thing this year :)
