Santa 2014

On Saturday we went to see Santa Claus! The kids were so excited to see Santa and tell him what all they were hoping for.

I don't love this picture they printed for us because Kade's eyes are halfway shut but it is what it is!

We got a fast pass before hand but the wasn't so fast so we took some selfies while we waited.

I love their ages right now and getting to see Christmas through their eyes! It's beyond magical!

Next in line!

LOVE this picture. Their faces intently listening to what Santa has to say is priceless to me.

Kade is my shy child and I could tell he was nervous. He told Santa he wanted a remote control airplane, a globe, and a build your our racetrack for his hot wheels. Such a precious little moment.

Ella wasn't nervous at all talking to Santa. She said she wanted a princess castle with an Ariel bathroom and a Tiana kitchen, an Anna and Elsa castle, and a few other things but all were either a princess or a castle. In this picture, Santa was asking if she liked Frozen and her eyes perked up!

I love this big special outing, it's such a fun day!

Tis the season!

The kiddos hard at work on their homemade ornaments.

My girl loves the Christmas village. She make believes and role plays a lot of the day here. I love listening to her imagination.

She added her own personal touch to this village. :)

We made our teacher gifts this year. I am in love with how precious they turned out. Kade really helped with the process. I have a lot of pictures on Bryan's phone to add but he helped measure and cut all the pieces.

Santa Claus came to town!

The other night Santa came through the neighborhood with a parade of police cars and fire trucks. The kids were so excited! My favorite line of the night was from Ella, "Hey there is Santa, he came to town!!!"

They got some candy canes from a fireman and they were hyped out!

Lots of random pictures!

Ella's first ever school picture!

Christmas spirit day at school!

The cold weather isn't slowing them down at all.

We made salt dough ornaments, the finished product!

The elves surprised the kids with a sugary breakfast!

It looks like they enjoyed the donuts themselves.

National tree

On Sunday we loaded up to go see Santa Claus and the national tree. Unfortunately once we got there we found out Santa does not meet there anymore. What a bummer! We walked around (freezing!!) and checked out the tree and the trains and then called it a night. The were upset for about one second and then quickly moved on when we said we would try somewhere else next weekend.

Kade was in front of the Texas tree!

I snapped these on my big camera once we got home.

Botanical gardens

The kids and I were downtown the other day so we made a stop by the botanical gardens to see the model train exhibit. I'm so glad we made the stop, it was so gorgeous!!!

The loved the trains! But Kade and I's favorite parts were the models all around that were made from tree bark and other dried plants. They were amazing!

Being somewhere so lush and green was a huge breath of fresh air since everything is ugly and dead outside.
