Thankful

Today is Kade's last day of school for the week and then the rest of the week is all about jammies, coffee, a fire, good food, and hopefully sleeping. I'm so ready for some down time!

Ella was "decorating" the tree.

We pulled all the Christmas decorations out and these guys were so excited!m

So happy to have 5 stocking this year!!

Christmas lights make cooking and doing dishes a lot more fun. I love this view.

Brrrrrr it has been freezing!

This and that

I want to reach in and love on that toddler boy! He is so grown up now.

Kade came home from school and said during his free time he made me some homework to do because he was was worried I was bored. ;) Thank goodness he is always thinking of me and my well being, haha! He drew the picture (pilgrims eating the first thanksgiving and the Mayflower) and told me I needed to write a story describing it. It was funny because I felt like he was repeating exactly what his teacher must say to him. "Write a story and make sure you include what they were doing, how they were doing it, and details about the picture." :) I'll take any little glimpses into what he does at school all day. Bryan even got in on the homework. :)

We had family pictures after school on Friday. I decided that morning to cut Kade's hair and what did I do? Gave him a bald spot!! I forgot to put the guard on before I started. Of course I did. I'm curious how it looks in pictures, haha.

Hattie went with us to see the Peanuts movie and was a champ!

Tiny dancer

At dance, the left the door open for a little while last week because there were some showing up late. This momarazzi took full advantage of the good view to take some videos and pictures of my tiny dancer. :) She is taking dance so serious this year and I love watching her in action.

3 months

Sweet little Hattie turned three months old this month! She is losing a lot of her newborn self and looking more and more like a baby everyday. It makes me sad! She is at such a sweet little age and I tell her daily that she can't grow up. She smiles at everyone, has let out a few little laughs, and can roll from her back to her belly. One of our biggest accomplishments this month has been losing the swaddle. She was swaddled longer than the other two and slept so well being wrapped up like a burrito. After rolling over we knew it was time, it took a few rough nights but now she is back to her old sleeping self. Thank goodness!

I don't know how we lived so long without this precious baby. I am so happy that she is mine.

Early morning snuggles

Ella has days where she is soooo bored now that Kade is in school. She spends most of her day asking if it is time to go pick him up. They are best little buddies and it makes me sad for her. One day she asked to jump on the bounce house and she just hung out there all by herself. I looked out at one point and she said she wanted to take a nap on it. :)

The girls matching Christmas outfits came in so of course we had to try them on. I can't get over all the adorableness.

Once we are home for the day Ella will change her outfit 200 times. From pj's to dress up clothes to everything in between. I never know what will greet me when I say it time to go pick Kade up. I thought this ensemble was pretty special. ;)

Texas caught up to these guys!

Looking at this picture you can almost smell the squeaky clean baby. It is the best smell on the planet.

We are swaddle free, woohoo!

Hattie goes to Texas

The kids and I took a surprise trip to Texas last week. We surprised my Dad on his 60th birthday and had the very best time celebrating him! Traveling alone with two young kids and a baby is not for the faint at heart. They were fantastic on the flight down but it was still so much work and I was exhausted. Our flight home we were all running on about 3 hours of sleep and it was tough for everyone.

Hattie was excited to head to Texas for the first time!

We got to the airport really early but that is better than rushing!

The girls slept most of the way there. I'm not going to lie at that moment I was feeling like some traveling supermom. However if I have learned anything from my time as a mom it is that the moment you think those thoughts they will turn around to bite you in the rear. Our flight home did just that. :)

The cousins hung out every second that they could. I love the they get to grown up with each other.

On Saturday we hired a babysitter and had a nice adult only meal downtown. It was such a treat because that rarely happens!!

No sleep was catching up to us. :)
