Summer Days

We have been spending a lot of time at our neighborhood pool this summer. Bryan says it is more like a water park than just a pool, which is really true! The kids LOVE the splash pad. I love it too because Kade can run around with out my help and Ella can crawl around everywhere! It is fun for everyone! Since Bryan is out of town this week, I took the kids up for an evening swim/splash! There was hardly anyone there so I got my big camera out for pictures. It was perfect! We even had dinner at the concession stand! Fun times with my babies!

Conversations with Kade

Bryan and Kade were sitting in the sunroom playing the guitar last night. Bryan gave Kade the guitar and K was making 'his own song.'

Bryan, "Dude, that is a mellow song you are playing."

pause...

Kade, "ya... This is a marshMELLOW song."

pause

Kade, "MAMA...DO YOU HEAR THIS MARSHMALLOW SONG?"

Funny funny little guy. I wish I knew what all went on in his little mind :)

Cruise 2012

We just got home from an amazingly relaxing cruise vacation with my family. Vacation couldn't have come at a better time for us this year, the house remodel had taken a lot out of us so it was a good way to relax and recharge! We were gone for 5 night with two stops, Progresso and Cozumel. We did beach excursions both stops because there isn't much else you can do with a 2 year old and a 10 month old! Cozumel was my favorite. We got on to a catamaran and went to a private island. The beaches were so beautiful and we had a great time hanging out on the beach! Ella slept through both excursions for the most part. Vacation makes you exhausted! Kade LOVED the beach. I mean he L-O-V-E-D the beach. Bryan and I were taken back by how much he loved it. He built sand castles, collected seashells, kayaked with Bryan, and swam in the water the entire time we were there. No complaining, no whining, just pure excitement about being at the beach! My favorite part was in Cozumel, Kade was on my back and we were dodging and jumping waves for about 45 minutes. Both of us laughing SO hard. It was such a sweet time with my boy! Our days at sea were filled with swimming in the pools, naps, and eating! It was perfect. 3 of the night after dinner, Bryan and I did the unthinkable and actually sent the kids to camp Carnival's babysitting service so we could have some adult time! I haven't ever hired a babysitter before but after touring the facilities I thought it was very safe. They loved going! Well Kade did, Ella probably didn't know what was going on. It was nice though to have a little break while on vacation!

We had such a wonderful week!!!
