First fire of the season!

Ella is still loving "nastics."

Kade was really into the World Series so we let him stay up one night to watch a game. He looks way to grown up here!!

This made my day on Timehop :)

Kade wrapped up Fall ball! He was sad the season was over.

Fall color is in full swing around here!

Lunch in the backyard.

Ella was not thrilled about the cold weather. :)

Sister learned to swing by herself!!

Sunday hike

The weather has been gorgeous lately, the absolute perfect fall weather. We have been trying to get outside as much as possible because we know are days are numbered. The dark days of winter will be here before we know it!

On Sunday we went out for a hike. Just several miles from us is the house of Thomas Stone, the second signer of the Declaration of Independence. His house and property are a national historic site and there is a hiking trail around the property as well as several buildings and a cemetary. A gorgeous family hike mixed in with some history? You can't beat that!

These two LOVE to go on family hikes.

Frozen on Ice

Last Saturday Ella and I had a girls night and went to see Frozen on Ice! The boys stayed home and watched Star Wars on the outdoor movie screen. I love getting one on one time with the kiddos and I know they love it too.

Ella was adorable, she was sooooo excited to see Elsa and Anna ice skate. She loved the show and didn't move a muscle the entire time. It was a fun girls night out!

The arena was filled with hundreds of Anna's and Elsa's.

She was yelling "there it is!! Look!!"

Look at that cute little hand out to the side, she has totally mastered the princess stance. :)

Pumpkin carving

Last weekend we carved our pumpkins. The kids were beside themselves, they were so excited! Kade drew five jack o lantern faces on paper and we were suppose to pick one to carve. The boys took one pumpkin and the girls did the other. The kids picked their faces and drew them on the pumpkin, but other than that Bryan and I did all the work. Ha! It is a great tradition and I love that both kids are old enough now to really get in on the excitement!

We bought jumbo sized pumpkins from the Amish market!

Saturday

This weekend was fantastic because we had zero plans. I love road trips and all that fun stuff but there is something to be said to have an entire weekend at home with no plans. I feel totally recharged today. :)

Kade had a tball game on Saturday. He played so hard and got the game ball! He was so excited!

We love those Braves!

We changed clothes and went to Old Town to shop, walk around, and eat dinner. I'm trying to get us out of the house as much as possible because it will be cold really soon. So we are trying to soak up every last bit of this gorgeous fall season!

We went to dinner and the kids worked on some designs with these wiki sticks.
