Birthday Parties

Since the kids birthday's fell right in the middle of the moving madness, we felt like there was no better time or place to have their party than at the beach with my family! It was reallllllly low key, but everyone was there and the kids thought it was perfect so that is all I care about!

Vick Family Beach Trip

We spent 5 days in Galveston with my family and we had the best time!! It came at a perfect time because the move was only a few days away, our house was packed up, and we were able to really enjoy each others company!!! The kids made the best memories!!

 

I feel like there is no better way to end this post than with this picture. It made us laugh until our stomachs hurts, and still to this day is a running joke. Without further ado: The Merman

 

This and that

I can't sleep so I figured I would add a few phone pictures to the blog! 

There is a common trend among most of them... Ella has transformed to a fairy princess. And most days refuses to take it off. It doesn't surprise me though, I knew Ella would be all about dress up! 

I don't know what it is but she looks SO grown up in this picture. She has looked like my little baby for so long to me but this picture makes her look to big! Slow down!!

I looked in the pool and saw this. This girl is seriously hilarious. 

Anyone who is around Ella tells me she is SO full of life and is going to have a lot of fun with anything she does. We know this.... Her personality is much larger than her pea sized body. Lord help us! 

We got the kids new reading material on our trip!

It's been a busy and awesome 6 years! 

Our actual anniversary was low key. I got a pedicure and we had for sushi for dinner (with the kiddos). We also forced the kids to watch our wedding video. Kade wanted to know why him and Ella weren't there. After MUCH explaining on a 3 year old level he believes that we left the reception and went to pick him up from the hospital. Bryan and I high fived each other for dodging that bullet! 

Happy Anniversary Bryan Stephens! Thanks for the best 6 years of my life! 

 

House hunting trip

Bryan and I spent 6 days in DC and Maryland house hunting for our new home! We had already narrowed it down to the area we would live so we spent a long day looking at every house on our list and I have to say it was rather depressing! Our budget is higher because cost of living is high but most of what we looked at was pretty shocking. But with all that said, we did find a house! It was top on my list beforehand and it was even better in person! I am really excited and the style of the house is SO me! It is our most move in ready home we have ever bought but it does need work in the living room and kitchen. And some wallpaper removed. But I can't wait! 

I don't love the outside in the pictures but I love it in person! 

It is on 2 acres and has a huge backyard that the kids are going to love!! 

On Saturday we made an offer, it was accepted the next morning, and the inspection was set for Tuesday (our last day there). So we had two days to enjoy a semi vacation! We went to Annapolis, Fredericksburg VA, walked up and down King St in Alexandria, walked around Georgetown, and just relaxed! 

Door to door, we are 45 min from the Capital! 

I have told anyone who plans to visit us that one of the places we will take them is Annapolis! I loved it and can't wait to go back! We are 45 min from here too!

And one last thing, I have never ever been on an airplane with Bryan when the person in front of him doesn't lean back. He is 6'6, he barely fits and if there is one person laying back it is the person in front of him. This trip was no exception. I even took a picture to document it, I was laughing so hard! Luckily we were in an exit row so it didn't matter too much this time!
